FAQ

Are you part of the BC Governments fee reduction and subsidy program?

Yes, we are part of the BC Government childcare fee reduction initiative. We are also part of the Affordable Childcare Benefit program (subsidy).

Do you charge a waitlist fee?

No, we do not charge a waitlist fee nor a registration fee. We may charge a deposit during registration if the child’s start date is more than 1 month away.

Are meals and snacks provided, and do you accommodate special dietary needs?

We ask that parents provide a healthy lunch along with 2 snacks for their children. We do not provide meals at this time. We are also a nut free environment.

How can parents stay informed about their child’s daily activities and progress?

We provide parents with daily updates and photos through text messages/emails/social media. Parents are welcome to set up extra meeting times with us before or after care to discuss their child’s progress in depth.

What is your policy regarding holidays and closures?

We are closed on all statutory holidays. We also follow the Abbotsford School District on all weather-related closures. Additionally, parents will be advised at least 1 month in advance of any other closures or changes to our operating hours.

Is your child care center licensed and accredited?

Yes, we are licensed and accredited through the Fraser Health Authority and the City of Abbotsford. We are also a member of the Abbotsford Child Care Resource and Referral program.

What are your operating hours? And late pick-up policy?

We are open Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 5:00pm.

We understand life is busy and schedules can be hectic, so we are flexible and willing to work with parents. However, we always ask parents to ensure they are able to have their child picked up by 5pm. In the event a parent is running a couple minutes late, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible. If late-picks become a norm or occur on a regular basis then we may impose a late-pick up fee of $1/minute.

What is the process after we have registered our child?

Once a child is ready to start, we begin care through a gradual entry process. On the first day, we recommend the child come in with at least one parent and say for 1-2 hours together. The next day, the child and parent can come in together again for an hour and afterwards the parent leaves for an hour. We continue to extend the hours daily until the child is comfortable staying the full day alone.
